Industry = Healthcare

Press Release Summary = The Workstation Workout is a must have ergonomic fitness DVD
designed for the office and home. Designed by a Physical Therapist this mini
exercise video will keep you flexible, strong and aligned for all of your workplace
fitness activities.

Press Release Body = The Workstation Workout is the first corporate mini exercise
video produced by Trish Muse and Perkins Broussard of Sound Vibrations. It consists
of 5 chapters with 2 bonus segments available on DVD and also VHS. A short series
of exercises and stretches address not only the issues of neglected home exercise
programs but often forgotten posture and rest breaks as well. This will help to
prevent and address a variety of upper body discomforts, weaknesses and postural
misalignments. The first chapter is an introduction to the purpose of the
Workstation Workout followed by a brief warm up featuring exercises to mobilize the
neck, shoulders and mid-back. The succeeding chapters feature exercises for the
shoulder, back, forearm, hand and wrist with a generous amount of tips and ergonomic
techniques and guidelines to combat repetitive overuse injuries, the perils of
extended computer use and poor workstation ergonomics also known as workplace
design. Two bonus segments will focus on extra flexibility exercises for the
shoulder and low back. Viewers can select a single chapter to perform a momentary
break at work, select all chapters for a complete yet brief upper body release or
repeat any combination of chapters to increase the number of repetitions of an
exercise to their tolerance. The Workstation Workout will relieve, relax and
rejuvenate at the office or at home.

Do you have a pain in the neck, no time to do a home exercise program or suffer from
too much computer use but not enough relief? According to the latest research you
are not alone. Repetitive stress injury (RSI) is a cumulative injury resulting from
overuse of the upper extremities. 60% of all workplace illnesses are due to
repetitive stress injury. Chronic repetitions of the same task without an adequate
rest break can set the stage for the development of RSI. The injury generally
appears in the musculoskeletal structures of the upper extremities, neck and back.
Repetitive stress injury accounted for 22.3% of the disability claims in 1998.
Billions of dollars are spent each year on decreased productivity, unemployment,
retraining and health claims. At risk occupations include computer users, both
professional and recreational, performing artists, dentists, barbers/hairdressers,
pharmacists, construction workers and truck drivers to name a few. Get stretches
and strategies for safe computer use.

The Workstation Workout differs from ergonomic software programs on the market.
Finally this is an office or home exercise program that guides you to results. This
unique program actually guides and instructs you instead of using one dimensional
pictures or computer diagram exercise alerts. Trish offers responsible solutions to
work place injury. After working with extensive numbers of fitness enthusiasts and
rehabilitation patients, Trish knows the compensations and pitfalls and addresses
common technique and form errors as though she were right there. She's heard the
complaints of not having time to leave your desk at work, so she brings the
exercises to you. Trish provides imagery, verbal and visual cues to teach and
demonstrate for an easy to follow, stress free experience. The exercises in each
chapter flow in a methodical and logistical way giving consideration to small
workspaces and the potential need for privacy and discretion. This is an ergonomic
escape from work, computers and poor posture.

Trish designed this unique approach to complement your regular exercise program and
to address everyday upper extremity discomforts. The objective is to overcome the
obstacles of forgotten home exercise programs during the day, neglected postural
alignment checks and corrections, difficulty following one dimensional diagrams and
no time or space to incorporate exercise and proper ergonomics into the day. Many
of Trish's patients and former personal training clients have presented these
obstacles to wellness. The intent is to educate, motivate, and increase exercise
compliance at work and home among general consumers, fitness enthusiasts and fitness
professionals alike. Learn lessons for a lifetime of health and fitness. Trish
firmly believes in the statement "If you don't find time for exercise, you'll have
to make time for illness". Therefore, she brings the workout to those in need at
work or at home with just the click of a mouse. This abbreviated exercise program
is not a substitute for appropriate medical attention.

If performed regularly with correct technique in conjunction with a regular exercise
program and balanced nutrition program the result will be more stability, mobility,
improved postural alignment and flexibility with less fatigue, pain, nerve
compression symptoms, tension and discomfort. This is a workout that keeps on
working for you long after you retire. Isn't it time you found some relief?
